CD Consulting, founded by Charles H. Drane in 2012, offers engineering and technical services. We serve the oil and gas, chemical, and power industries.  Charles is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.  He has held positions in engineering, management, sales, and field service for several major corporations, including Daniel Industries, Inc., Rosemount, Fisher Controls, Leslie Controls, Inc., and VME Process, Inc.  He is safety certified to work offshore and has experience working in foreign countries.

1.  Instrumentation

• Instrumentation Material Takeoff from P&IDs.
  
• Review client specifications for suitability of instrumentation to process and availability through normal procurement channels.
  
• Preparation of Data Sheets suitable for client review and for procurement.
  
• Communicate with vendors to insure accuracy of quotations; solicit quotations for client
  

2.  Control Valve Applications

• Review client specifications for control valve applications
  
• Develop Data Sheets for control valves, insuring that valves meet process requirements.
  
• Size control valves if required.
  
• Apply required valve instrumentation that is compatible with client's process control system.
  
• Specify materials of construction that meet process requirements.
  
• Identify severe service applications requiring special construction or accessories.
  

 3.  Flow Measurement

• Review client specifications for proper application of measurement technology to process.
  
• Develop specification sheets for flow meters and ancillary instrumentation.
  

4.  Other Services

• Field Service - Start up and Commissioning - Inspection and Factory Test Witnessing
  
• Technical Writing - Write operations manuals.
